Äänne-eurytmian synnystä moderniin ilmaisuun – From the Origins of Tone Eurythmy to Modern Expression

Äänne-eurytmian synnystä moderniin ilmaisuun - From the Origins of Tone Eurythmy to Modern Expression

Welcome to an in-depth eurythmy course that journeys from the original impulses of tone (sound) eurythmy toward the expressive language of modern music. The course returns to the year 1912 and to the very first instructions given to the young Lory Smits by Rudolf Steiner in Binningen-Bottmingen, 16–24 September 1912.

The mornings are divided into two complementary parts:

The First Instructions in Tone Eurythmy (1912) – We will work with the original impulses and explore how sound became visible in movement.

Tone Eurythmy and Modern Music – Under the guidance of Carina Schmidt, we will deepen our exploration of the eurythmic expression of modern music and its artistic possibilities.

A more detailed daily schedule for the course will be published and updated on this page closer to the start of the course.

The course offers an opportunity to strengthen both your artistic practice and your historical understanding of the roots of eurythmy. The work is practical and experiential.
